2022 person of the year

It has been our tradition to select a Senior Surfer Person of the Year. The 2022 honor goes to Doug Irish.
Success comes to clubs in many ways and what rounds out the success of our Club is our Apple specialist Doug Irish who became a member in 2009. Doug, a former Board member, recently completed his 100th Apple group presentation. These presentations are in depth and always provide up to date Apple information. Doug maintains an Apple mailing list that he uses to send reminders and links to past presentations. You can request to join his mailing list by using the Join Apple Mailing List on our website.
Many members of the Senior Surfers belong to the Delaware 50+ Volunteers, an organization that recognizes senior volunteers throughout the state. Hours are recorded monthly and sent to the 50+ Volunteer office by Doug. He developed a special form for our club that keeps this process running smoothly.
Doug, you have been a tremendous asset to the club and we appreciate all your efforts. It is our pleasure to name you the 2022 Person of the Year for the Newark Senior Center Technology Club.
