Part I (Tuesday, Oct 11, 10 AM to noon): Just The Basics
Can't find stuff on your computer? The Windows File Explorer program is designed to help you create a personalized filing system for your documents, pictures and videos. Learn how to create and name files and folders; select, open, save, copy, and move files into folders. Prior experience with a mouse is required.
Part II (Tuesday, Oct 18, 10 AM to noon): Deeper Into the Weeds
Still got a few hundred pictures with gobbledygook names? Maybe you need some additional File Explorer tools. Topics include working with multiple files, folders and windows; batch renaming; sorting, filtering, and searching; and adding metadata like tags. Part I or a very solid grasp of File Explorer is required.
Participants are welcome to stay after class for individual help during the open lab session from 12:00 to 3:00.
