Help with computer problems
Although the Senior Surfers Technology Club is not a repair shop, we help members figure out how to best use these magic boxes and what to do if they do not do what one expects. If you are interested in learning, the Senior Surfers Technology Club is the right place.
We also realize that some people are not interested in the hows or whys. (But these folks generally do not belong to our club!) If your issue is beyond what our club volunteers are able to deal with, here are some professional businesses that we know about:
Computer Jocks, 726 Pulaski Highway (Route 40), Bear, DE
http://www.webeatthegeeks.com/
302-295-1360
A large portion of their customers are seniors. Voted "Best Computer Repair Service in Delaware" by readers of The New Journal - 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016.
Second Source, 328 Suburban Drive, Suburban Plaza, Newark, DE
http://www.secondsourcenewark.com/
302-369-6250
Used and refurbished computers, repair of desktop, laptops, iMacs, tablets and phones. Repairs generally take a week. Had several Reader’s Choice awards while located in the Newark Shopping Center.
Motto Computer, 3317C Old Capital Trail, Wilmington, DE
http://www.mottocomputer.com/
302-633-6783
Motto is an A+ certified service center which can work on most PC hardware and software. Whether you need a new system, a peripheral or an upgrade or new part for an existing system, Motto can provide you a cost-effective solution.
