We will be electing 4 directors this year. These are our candidates.
John Fennel joined the Technology Club in 2018. He brings many years of electrical engineering experience and feels he can contribute to the club as a board member. His technical career experience includes NASA: sounding rocket telemetry circuit design; Westinghouse: electronic countermeasures design; IBM: system 370 CPU hardware design, communication satellite ground station design and analysis, airline reservation system design and analysis, and enhancement of GPS for Japan FAA. He says “My first computer was a slide rule, followed by a string of computers and engineering applications.”

Chris Lashbrook is originally from New Jersey, having attended Rutgers University and the University of Delaware. She was employed with DuPont for over 30 years, in positions spanning IT, Corporate Relocation, Safety Resources, and Marketing Communications. She is also active in the Genealogy Club, her church, and the Board of the Cooch's Bridge Chapter of the National Society DAR.
Mickey Mathew joined the Senior Surfers in January 2023. She says she has received so much help from the computer lab that she would like to give back and show her appreciation by serving on the board. However, she doesn’t wish to take that opportunity away from anyone else. She says “Since I've never served on a board nor do I have much computer knowledge, I only want to be on the ballot if I’m not contesting anyone for a limited position.”
Ron Pierce served in the Army from 1964 to 1967. He graduated from Delaware State College in 1971 with a degree in elementary education. While still teaching, he completed his master’s Degree in 1975. He maintained a class website that usually had more hits than the district site. He built websites for St. James Newport and is currently helping to rebuild the site for Unity church in Wilmington. A club member since 2021, Ron likes helping people and would like to serve on the Technology Club Board. He assists with Apple device issues in the computer lab. https://saintjamesnewportde.org/ https://unitywilmington.org/

She has worked in industries such as casualty insurance, cell tower communications, oil & gas, etc. Her first computer class was using a punch card, her first computer was a Radio Shack TRS-80. She says her relationship with technology is “Always know enough to be dangerous, but never enough to be helpful.” Cam joined the Senior Surfers in 2021.
